The Journal of Musculoskeletal Surgery and Research (JMSR) is an open-access peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing high-quality articles in the field of Musculoskeletal Research & Studies from Orthopedic and Spine surgery, Rheumatology, Basic Science, Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy, Orthopedic Nursing and Education. The journal is owned by the Saudi Orthopaedic Association and published by the Scientific Scholar.

Aims & Scope

The journal is an Open Access online journal, and with the help of the experienced international editorial board, the journal aims to provide a complete and reliable source of information about the latest research and developments in the field of musculoskeletal research and contribute towards the improvement of quality of health care. The journal aims to provide a platform for the exchange of new clinical and scientific information in the most precise and expeditious way on disorders related to the musculoskeletal system, which includes research from Orthopedic and Spine surgeons, Rheumatologists, Basic Scientists, Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy specialist, Orthopedic Nursing and Educationists. The journal will be essential reading for professionals and researchers who wish to keep abreast of the latest developments in the field.

The journal publishes all types of papers; editorials, systematic reviews, narrative reviews, original research, basic science and experimental research, surgical tips and techniques, case reports, book reviews, letters to editors, clinical practice guidelines, and orthopedic training and educational research.

It is a peer-reviewed international journal with a double-blind review process. Its frequency of publication is quarterly, what that means is, it publishes the article once it’s accepted after peer review. Currently, we have E-Journal and the journal is also available in print on demand.

The Journal of Musculoskeletal Surgery and Research is committed to meeting and upholding the standards of ethical behavior at all stages of the publication process. Plagiarism Policy

The journal uses plagiarism check software (iThenticate) on the Editor’s and Reviewer’s panel in the manuscript management system which is used to check and control Plagiarism for each article. Any manuscript, that is found to have plagiarism is rejected.

We use PORTICO for our third-party repository for all articles published with us. All our articles are assigned a DOI number. We are members of https://crossref.org

Ahead of Print policy

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Journal of Musculoskeletal Surgery and Research has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
